On November 26, 2010 the doors were open. The facility is rented from St. Paul United Church of Christ. The Open Door of Marathon County offers temporary help for current and newly released Marathon County inmates and prisoners of Wisconsin. The Open Door of Marathon County, Inc. offers life skills and job readiness training classes and making amends classes to the currently incarcerated inmates. Computer assistance, job search, GED study, clothing closet, partner project and referrals for an individual needs are available. Former inmates can access Open Door of Marathon County anytime after 5 AM for clothing and learn about other local organizatins and community resources. We have a welcoming atmosphere for conversation and coffee. The Open Door of Marathon County, Inc. is managed by board of directors. The day to day operations are donated by 25 volunteers, and one Volunteer Office Manager who open the facility doors (depending on inmate releases) from 5 AM to 10 AM Monday through Sunday
